ProZ : An Online Community For Freelance Translators

You need to hire translators for a rush project. Where do you go to find professional translators without going through a translation agency (language service provider)?

Founded in 1999, ProZ (www.proz.com) is the web’s oldest and most active online community for freelance and professional translators. It’s a sort of Craigslist for translators, and is a great resource when you need to recruit translators for a project or job opening.

ProZ itself does not provide translation services, but instead acts as an online community and job listing service. Whether you are looking for someone for a one-off project, or are continually recruiting translators for your translation or localization projects, its an essential tool.

Translator’s Cafe also provides a similar community and referral network, and is a good place to look when you are searching for translators.
